    The term Bio-based means a material or product (partially or entirely) derived from biomass (organism). Biomass sources are used for bioplastics such as corn, sugarcane, or rice husks, ...

    2. Make use of agricultural waste

    Bioplastics are made from agricultural waste such as empty fruit bunches (EFB) from oil palm trees, rice husks from rice production which do not affect food security.

    3. Environmental protection:

    Bio-plastics are more environmentally than regular plastics as less fossil energy is required for their manufacturing and lower green house is emitted.

    4. Benifits of Bio-based plastic:

    ● Biobased plastic can help reduce dependence on limited fossil resources, which is expected to become significantly more expensive in the coming decades.

    ● Biobased resin is produced from renewable sources instead of oil and in that way will gradually replace the fossil resources used to make plastics with renewable resources (industrial crops yearly).

    ● Biobased biobased also has potential in reducing GHG or even carbon neutral emissions. Plants absorb carbon dioxide in the atmosphere as they grow. Using biomass to produce bioplastics forms a temporary removal of greenhouse gas (CO2) from the atmosphere, helping to reduce CO2, reducing the greenhouse effect.

    ● It is a mixture of materials including rice husks and synthetic resin (can be mixed with colors).
