Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
So what are SDGs?
SDGs (stand for “Sustainable Development Goals”), also known as sustainable development goals, has been agreed by 193 member states of the United Nations Council and has been used at the Sustainable Development Conference organized by the United Nations held in 2015.
●With the long-term goal of creating a society of sustainable development until 2030, countries around the world including developed countries must work together to solve the problems of the Earth, especially is to take action to protect the Earth. There are a total of 17 goals set forth to end poverty, disseminate education and health care, namely:
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):
● Corporate social responsibility is a corporate management concept when integrating environmental and social aspects into business activities and in interactions with shareholders. CSR is understood as a way for a company to balance economic, environmental, and social pillars (reaching the bottom three) while still fulfilling the commercial expectations of the business.
● The difference between CSR and philanthropic activities: CSR is a corporate management concept. While philanthropy benefits a business' reputation, CSR goes beyond philanthropy.

Goal 11: Sustainable cities and communities.
"Make cities and neighborhoods inclusive, safe, progressive and sustainable."
● The goal is to ensure that by 2030 people have access to safe and affordable housing. The index (%) is used to measure target progress, based on the percentage of urban population living in slums and informal settlements. Between 2000 and 2014, the share has decreased from 39 % down to 30%. However, there is an absolute minority of people living in slums, which increased from 792 million people in 2000 to approximately 880 million people in 2014. Migration from rural to urban areas increased rapidly as the population increased and there are much better alternatives to housing available.
Goal 12: Responsible Consumption And Production
"Ensure sustainable patterns of production and consumption."
● Goal 12 includes the use of environmentally friendly production methods and reduce the amount of waste. It is expected that by 2030, the country's recycling rate will increase to tons of recycled materials. Going forward, companies should start applying sustainable techniques and publish potentially sustainable reports.
● The leading goal is to call for the implementation of the 10-year Sustainable Production and Consumption Program. This framework of the program, agreed by Member States at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, is a global commitment to help accelerate the transition to sustainable production and consumption in developed countries and growing. To create the total impact needed for this step, programs like the One Planet Network have developed various options for the successful implementation of Goal 12.
Goal 13: Climate action
"There is urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts."
● Strengthen resilience and adaptation to climate-related hazards and disasters in all countries.
● Integrate climate change measures into national policies, strategies and plans.
● Improve education, awareness and capacity of people and institutions on disaster risk reduction, adaptation, mitigation and early warning.
● Implement commitments in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change agreed by the developed country parties to achieve the goal of jointly mobilizing USD 100 billion annually by 2020 from all sources to address the needs of developing countries in the context of meaningful and transparent mitigation measures in the full implementation and operation of the Green Climate Fund through its capital as soon as possible. the better.
● Promote mechanisms to build capacity for effective climate-related change planning and management in developing countries and small island developing states, including with a focus on women, young people age and local communities and marginalized people.
Goal 15: Life on land
"Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, prevent and reverse land degradation, and halt biodiversity loss." "
● This goal outlines the focus for biodiversity conservation of forest, desert and mountain ecosystems, as a percentage of the total land area. "World soil degradation neutrality" can be achieved by restoring degraded forests and land lost to droughts and floods. Goal 15 calls for greater attention to preventing the invasion of introduced species and greater protection of endangered species. Forests play a prominent role in the success of the 2030 Agenda, particularly in terms of ecosystem services, livelihoods and green economies; but this will require clear priorities to address key tradeoffs and synergize with other sustainable development goals (SDGs).
Goal 17: Partnerships For Goals
"Strengthen the way it is done and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development."

● Promote the development, transfer, dissemination and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies to developing countries on favorable terms
● Strengthening global partnerships for sustainable development, complemented by multi-stakeholder partners to mobilize and share knowledge, expertise, technology and financial resources to support implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in all countries, especially developing countries.
● Encourage and promote effective public partnerships, public-private partnerships and civil society, building on the experience and resources of strategic partnerships.
