Firstly, the Government and people of Vietnam always consider Japan, a powerful power in the world, a reliable, important and leading partner for long-term cooperation. Japan also considers Vietnam to be the leading strategic partner in the region. Vietnam is the country coordinating the ASEAN-Japan relationship for the 2018-2021 term, the ASEAN Chair 2020 and the non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2020-2021 term. “Let's work together. elevating relations to new heights, ”the Prime Minister emphasized.
